Five-year Austrian degree in early childhood pedagogy (BAfEP)
Christina trained for five years at an Austrian BAfEP — a specialist secondary college for early childhood pedagogy that combines child development, music, art, and supervised practice in real kindergartens. It has no direct equivalent in the United States.
Christina hat fünf Jahre an einer österreichischen BAfEP studiert — einer Fachschule für Elementarpädagogik, die Entwicklungspsychologie, Musik, Kunst und begleitete Praxis in echten Kindergärten verbindet. In den USA gibt es dafür keine direkte Entsprechung.
She went on to lead a mixed-age group in Austria, where children from three to six share one room and the older ones teach the younger — the model this kindergarten is built on.
Danach leitete sie in Österreich eine altersgemischte Gruppe, in der Kinder von drei bis sechs einen Raum teilen und die Älteren die Jüngeren anleiten — das Modell, auf dem dieser Kindergarten aufbaut.
